Description

• DRPT awards Federal Transit Administration Section 5310 funding for the enhanced mobility of seniors (ages 65 and older) and individuals with disabilities. The Capital-Vehicle award funds capital projects to replace 5310-funded vehicle fleets.

   

  The Capital-Vehicle funding opportunity provides accessible vehicles for programs that transport seniors and individuals with disabilities. Successful applicants who receive Capital-Vehicle awards will work with the state’s vendor to order an accessible vehicle from the program menu. Funding is not provided for agencies to purchase or retrofit their own vehicles.

   

  Replacement vehicles are available for agencies that have previously received funding for vehicles through DRPT’s 5310 program. Eligible vehicles for replacement must be funded through 5310, updated in your TransAM inventory, and have met their useful life in age and mileage.

   

  This grant has a 10% local match. If awarded, the local match is due as a check to DRPT prior to DRPT ordering the vehicles.
